Description | Time sequence of satellite images covering a part of the military training area Libavá (Oder Mts.) supported the analysis of forested and other area changes influenced by military activities. The territory served military since 1936, locals abandoned early the area. The settlements felt into devastation. Original forest areas were changed repeatedly. New forest canopies were developed, partly by the forest management, partly spontaneously by succession starting from ancient forests, alluvium and ruins of abandoned settlements. |
