| Description | Detail raster digital elevation model of Czech Republic (about 80 M pixels) has been sampled before it will applied for construction of various terrain maps suitable for the Landscape atlas of Czech Republic. The map of elevation layers, slope map and aspect map were compiled. Shadowed terrain model was prepared for comparison with other maps. Using these maps a simple terrain analysis has been carried out to identify sharp lines in the landscape. The most of detected lines repeat in all three maps. Many of them were not known in Czech geomorphology because of such detail terrain data and powerful processing technology was not available before. |
