Description Laser scanning provides geography with detail data about landscape surface. Very detail 3D data about objects above the earth surface can be produced by this technology suitable for their volume calculation (for buildings, tree and other live biomass), construction of detail models (bridges, electricity lines) and for assessment of features too difficult for measurements using traditional techniques (ice accretion on various objects). Terrain models based on laser scanned data are very accurate.
