| Description | In the presented paper, we try to analyze actual economic position of the railways in the Czech republic and predict its development in the next 5 years. We start with describing the up to now time series for the railway transport, because the current development in the Czech republic is, of course, strongly determinated by its positions in the 1970s and 1980s. Then we identify, estimate a verify econometric models for the both passenger and cargo railway traffic. On the basis of estimated models, we make a prediction which is analyzed. |
