Description Family value ladder, pressure of market and consumption mechanisms, as well as orientation of the society on success and achievment, are the causes of serious neurosis-creating moments since an early childhood. Children should be early addressed in their own family circle and later at school by nonspecific prevention which is afterwards (within the transition from the first to the second grade of the basic school) focused already specifically on food-intake disorder and other types of social pathologies. The research sonde made an inquiry how informed the pupils of basic schools are about questions of food-intake disorder, because unrespecting of priciples of the healthy lifestyle can cause serious, sometimes even irremediable harms in development and growth of childrens organism. Mapping of the situation was carried out with the help of anonymous nonstandardized questionnaire investigation on the sample of 231 second-grade pupils at five basic schools in Brno.
