Description The aim of our paper is to provide an overview of research and assessment potentials of performance-based personality measures. The performance-based personality measures are methods where subjects are exposed to a task or a situation; when solving the task, they reveal their personality characteristics in their behavior. Two types of tools are utilized as performance-based personality tests: first, there are standardized ability tests which are assessed and interpreted in terms of personality characteristics, not in terms of ability and performance; second, there are methods developed on purpose, e.g. tests of response to a frustration or stress, cognitive styles tests, endurance tests, etc. Our psychometric study of selected performance-based personality measures will be mentioned in the paper.
