| Description | During the faunistic survey of orthopteran insects carried out in the period of 6-12 August 2001 in 15 strictly protected nature reserves (mostly peatlands) and other 12 localities (mostly mown meadows) in the Protected Landscape Area (PLA) Jizerské hory Mts. altogether 15 species were recorded; 6 species of bush-crickets and 9 species of grasshoppers. The number of species ascertained represents 21,8% of the Czech orthopteran fauna. All the species recorded were discussed with results of previous studies and some of them seemed to represent relatively valuable faunistic records. In two cases (Myrmeleotettix maculatus and Chorthippus albomarginatus), data from historical sources were confirmed (after 84 and 58 years) and four cases (Tetrix tenuicornis, Chrysochraon dispar, Chorthippus apricarius and Chorthippus brunneus) represent new species for the PLA. |
