| Description | Two case studies of athletes who achieved extraordinary results during their childhood and decided to leave sport in their adolescence are presented in the paper. The main goal is to introduce subjective perceptions of their development, their influence on the decision to leave sport and perceived future. In both cases, conflict with pressures of social environment emerges as the central theme. |
