Description | The behavioural effect of rimonabant in the mouse model of social defeat was observed in the mouse model of social defeat. Rimonabant (7 mg/kg) was administered orally to group-housed mice with and without the experience of social defeat. We observed an antidepressant-like effect of rimonabant in mice defeated by an aggressive conspecific partner. Our data indicate the role of CB1 receptors in mood regulation and suggest the involvement of endocannabinoid system in modulation of the response to stressful stimuli. |
