Description We are going to deal with the simplified forms derived of coumpound expressions (průmyslová škola / průmyslovka, přijímací zkoušky / přijímačky) that call some realia of school and education: teachers (češtinář / učitel češtiny, tříďas / třídní učitel), pupils (prvňák / žák první třídy), types of schools (průmyslovka / průmyslová škola), examinations (státnice / státní zkoušky). Those words are found in various text styles and genres (in journalistic texts, in novels, in non-fiction texts). They are almost derived by suffixes KA, ÁK, ÁŘ or by other suffixes, that are connected to the etyma/word root of attribute (adjective or substantive) in the compound expression (průmyslová škola / průmyslovKA, učitel češtiny / češtinÁŘ). We are going to compare the numbers of the simplified forms/catch titles with the numbers of the phrases and compound expressions and appearance of the simplified forms with appearance of compound expressions in various texts and contexts.
