Description If the goal of English language teaching is to educate creative and resourceful teachers of inquiring minds, who, in their classes of English, demonstrate their awareness of social issues and conflicts that trouble the world today, then we need to infuse social awareness and cultural values into language teaching and learning. A reflective transmission of desirable values became an essential part of students learning in classes of American culture and history.
