Description The article is focused on some thoughts presented in the book of Ivana Markova Dialogicality and Social Representation. The author comments two situations quoted from Joyces Ulysses and Havels The Power of the Powerless. Markova pointed out that it is an acting of people as a dominating sign in social life in contrast with a word which is on the wane as a sign. She stressed fatal consequences of acting on the identity of people in the socialism era. In contrast, the author suggests that people have not lost their identities even though they did not tell a true. Also in the case they have been disconnected with spoken or written words they used. Idea of noncommunicative language is disputed. In comparison with theory of social representations author points out the discourse analysis. The text offers the diverse explanation of the above mentioned examples of Havels greengrocers behaviour.
