Description The brief article introduces Gary Chapman's claims published in his popular book The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate (2002). The author writes about the importance of being able to express love to your spouse in a way that your spouse can understand. He calls this type of communicating using the five love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service and physical touch. The results of free-response method indicate that Chapman's love languages were identified in respondents' answers about their preferred behavioral love expression.
