Description The author points to the possibility of introducing a child into the world of meanings and values in view of building relationship of pupils to nature. She builds on the results if the research and the fact that a new interpretation of the content and conception of education emphasises the axiological dimension. She considers the trend of education for nature, which will enable not only the experience of values and complex thinking full of respect to nature but also the study of human-created culture. The value aspects of the school curriculum are specified by the teacher, who is competent to convey knowledge on nature and culture, meanings of human behaviour and activities and to motivate appropriately and effectively link the affective and cognitive goals.
