| Description | We provided general information on the problems of sickles and briefly treated the findings in greatmoravien stronghold in Mikulčice, the circumstances of the findings in the objects, graves, about varieties of shapes of the sickles and their individual modifications. At the same time, we offered - on the base of the circumstances corcerning the findings - another, new interpretation of using sickles: as working tools of "roofers" when building or repairing shingle roofs of buildings.This paper brings also the results of further metallographic analyses and contributes to the knowledge of production technologies of sickles.The artickle presents further results of our research and its connected with project GAČR GA 404/05/2355. |
