| Description | An increased prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD) has been observed in developed coutries. The mechanism involved in the pathogenesis of Gord are complex, multifactorial and incompletely understood. Improvement of diagnostic tecniques and better understanding of the pathogenesis of reflux may lead to better therapeutic modalities. |
