| Description | The article was created as the result of the research oriented at innovation of methods, content and forms of primary school teaching in connection with improvement of university education of future primary school teachers. The contribution shows two possibilities how to use the history of Mathematics for motivation of elementary school pupils. They are historical calculating tools and the historical development of the numeration systems and units of measurement. |
