| Description | The vegetation transforms incoming solar energy actively into another form stored in the biomass. Especially the wood has been used since unknown past as a fuel. Such ability is differently spread across forest canopies dependently on their species composition. The map of potential forest vegetation of Czech Republic represents the starting point for the calculation of energy values, which could be stored in the biomass of a natural forest that can develop under present landscape conditions. |
