Description Education at the first stage of the primary school follows the pre-school education and facilitates the transition from a more relaxed and favorable environment of the kindergarten to the compulsory, regular, and systematic education process. The beginning of the primary school belongs to the most demanding periods, because it brings many time- and behavioral changes, regularity, a different mode of work, new environment, new peers and teachers. Let us have a look what changes is the start of a standard primary school education likely to bring for hearing impaired pupils. I will present a research - a case-study of a nine-year old boy with a moderate-to-heavy hearing impairment. I will observe mainly his integration into the educational process and his personal development. Full version on CD.
