Description The article aims to deepen our insight into the processes of the development of pedagogical content knowledge which is perceived as the core component of the knowledge base for teaching - the basis of the competence profile for teaching. Research in which the method of focus group is deployed seeks an answer to the following question: what sources do students utilize for planning and teaching during their teaching practice? In other words, to what extent do they use their knowledge of a scientific discipline for creation of educational content, both on the ontodidactic and psychodidactic levels?
