Description | Ni, Sn and Zn play important role in electronic industry as potential candidates for lead-free soldering. Because of lack of experimental information, this system has not been thermodynamically described up to now and preliminary thermodynamic prediction of phase equilibria based of existing assessments for binary subsystems may be performed only. Differential scanning calorimetry and analytical electron microscopy were used for determination of temperatures of phase transformations, specification of temperature regions for long term annealing of prepared samples and microstructure studies. |
