Description The contribution is insight in to the inconsistency of Roman law regarding the slaves. On the one hand it is said that slave is only an object of law but there are many situations especially in the field of civil law that contradict this presumption. This contribution tries to refer to some of such contradictory examples especially in the field of obligation law. I deal especially with the possibilities of slave's contracting (naturalis obligatio).
