Description | This contribution has brought up again (after B. Zlámal’s, 1938 and M. Kopecký’s, 1965 articles) the topic of Cyril and Method Baroque homiletics written in German (intended for Moravian compatriots in connection with the feast of Cyril and Method in St. Michael’s church in Vienna). The fact of extending materials should be viewed as the main asset of this paper: it has been extended from twenty-nine texts quoted by Zlámal and Kopecký to more than seventy texts (hypothetically to 74 ones) with stating forty one concrete texts above the so-called Zlámal’s list (mostly on the basis of the so-called Welzig’s catalogue) and extra eight texts which have not been quoted so far (above the so-called Welzig’s catalogue). In connection with the stated topic the author also deals with intertextual connections, pseudo-historical motives, Baroque nationalism and Baroque Slavism. She also presents – with regard to the order environment of preachers and their authorial context – further approaches to research. |
