Description | On the interface of solid-liquid phases of water solutions, certain electric potential occurs during the freezing process. This is caused uneqal distribution of ions between the solid and liquid phases. As freezing is often used for the preservation of biological samples, the influence of the electric field induced by this process upon biological samples is the subject of investigation. |
