Description The journalistic style could be characterized as an objective functional style that is distinctively dynamic. Its development and transformation take place mainly in the lexicon. Lexical means appear relatively stable with respect to the given period, but they could be variable in time mostly in connection with the political, economical and social development. We can also observe great variability and dynamics at stylistic features of lexical means. Automation in the use of lexical items and a certain stereotypical way of expressing are replaced in effort to change lexical means, after the intentional breaking of templates. Lexical items are being updated, and there are tendencies for making texts special by linguistic means, all in support of the targeted superiority of publicistic communication.
