Description The new interpretation of the understanding of primary education stresses the environmental dimension. This is related to the required biophiled orientation of education which facilitates not only differentiated values, overcoming primitive egocentric opinions and complex thinking which respects nature but also the exploration of the culture created by humans. At the centre of attention are questions related to educational content connected with the revelation of the cause of the failure of the relationship between humans and the environment and the possibilities for its change. The author analyzes the key topics of primary education which correspond to the principles of environmental ethics. She presents the results of structured reflection of students on the selected topics of professional training.
