Description Sport coaching belongs to a category of complex and demanding professions. Success in this profession is dependent on many interconnected social, economic and educational aspects. Natural athletic talent, sports experience, and an acquired coach license alone, are not sufficient to meet the graduation requirements for a professional coach. Lifelong non-formal education and informal learning plays an increasingly more significant role in the learning and development in professional coaches. This report highlights selected data gathered through a questionnaire administered to sport coaches which analyzed the impact of non-formal coach education, signaled effective forms and methods of such education, identified some information sources of sport coach informal learning and characterized informal learning as a substantial part of the everyday activities of a coach.
