| Description | The knowledge economy of the EU27 can be evaluated also through the data published by the Eurostat. Education, research and development, innovations and information and communication technologies can be considered key areas of knowledge economy. Within the framework of these groups of indicators the position of individual member states is compared and the main attention is paid to the position of the Czech Republic. Generally speaking it is possible to state that with respect to quantitative indicators the Czech position fluctuates near to median value and the same can be said about the expenditure on research and development and ICT. On the contrary the expenditures on education are very low. |
