Description When teaching natural sciences at a primary school we would like to allow our students to designe experiment themselves sometimes. If we have available universal measuring station and a set of detectors, students can choose the combination of variables that could be monitored. Vernier measuring station allows you to connect up to 4 sensors simultaneously and carry with them long-term measurements. The pupils of the 8th year we have made in this way two measurements. Students selected and installed sensors to monitor the microclimate in the classroom, and we are currently monitoring the influence of CO2 concentration in the air to the acidity of water. In the second experiment, we examined the photosynthesis of plants. In laboratory conditions we were able to verify the two global problems: ocean acidification and the response of plants to extreme climatic conditions. The measurement results presented pupils at student conference GLOBE Games in Svitavy.
