Description In 2011, the Central European Regional Olympiad for secondary schools' pupils is held in the Czech Republic. The competition was established in the Czech Republic in 2003 and its first round was hold there the same year. Since then, the competition is runnig in odd-numbered years, taking turns with the the International Geography Olympiads organized by the International Geography Union (IGU). Therefore, pupils can take part in both international competitions. The rules of CERIGEO are close to the rules of international Geography Olympiad organized by IGU. Among the participants of CERIGEO included the top four contestants of regional Geography Olympiad who are accompanied by two teachers.
