| Description | Resins for industrial demineralisation of water are known as ionexchangers or as cation-exchangers for exchange of cations or anion-exchangers for exchange of anions, and these are applied in the chemical technology for more than 80 years. The current general structural types of industrial cation- and anion-exchangers were demonstrated, as well as examples of weak acidic cation-exchanger application, especially, for solid supported and combinatorial syntheses with covalent-bond and ionic-bond substrates or catalysts. Their application in selected example syntheses was presented, as well. |
