Description A significant figure in contemporary Czech fairy tale is Martin Skala. The author lives in the USA. Skala illustrated books for other writers, but she also devotes a separate creation of books. After 2000, she created a series of books by violinist and violin (Strada and Varius). Paul Čech is self-taught. He produces books that he wrote himself, but he also illustrates. The works of both authors are analyzed in the text. It pointed to the distinctive aesthetic qualities of their books in the plane of literary and in the plane of illustration.
