Description Modern approaches to evaluation in foreign language teaching do not only focus on the evaluation of the pupil’s performance but also on the evaluation of the process of learning. Individualized and differentiated approach is emphasized together with the development of the pupil’s self-evaluation capacities. The aims of the chapter are to provide an overview of current trends in the evaluation in foreign language teaching and learning and to present partial results of a research project into the situation in the evaluation focusing on both the results and the process of foreign language teaching to pupils with specific learning difficulties at basic schools
