Description The chapter focuses on questions of early support and early intervention to children with developmental disability and its family. Within the context of early support, the term resilience has been explained. Resilience occurs when unfavourable and specific conditions of a child co-occur and interact with environment. We focus on possibilities offered by great plasticity of CNS in the early age. We define early intervention in accordance with the Act on Social Sevices. In the end of the chapter we present a research analysing experience of mothers of children with profound disabilities with external support in early and pre-school age.
