Citation
Description The author points to the overlap of health promotion and environmental protection in the system of education. She specifies it on the aims and focus of the content of both environmental education and health education. The health motives of environment protection have become inspiration for investigations focused on the issue of “putting ones health at risk as a consequence of environmental influences“. The chosen phenomena (nature vs. recreation, nature vs. transport, nature vs. physical or sports activities) are illustrated on examples of results of the investigations. Finally, the contribution for the theory and practice of health education and environmental education is described with an emphasis on the transformation of education towards biophile focus.
