Description The chapter analyses persons with profound disabilities and their attitude to work. Work and unemployment have specific importance for persons with need of comprehensive support. The chapter presents a range of researches in this topic realized in the Czech Republic as well as abroad (in Germany). The respondents considered important having social security, seeing world outside their room, learning meaningful work respected by society, taking part in creating products or services, developing their work opportunities. The respondents perceived work as important part of life, however, they pointed to the fact that there are also other important things in life. As important they considered relationship to an accepted person so as to have the need of communication and other needs fulfilled (food, hygiene). The researchers showed that social quality of work is very important.
