Description | Performance assessment and knowledge assessment of slow learners in foreign language teaching requires well prepared and skilled teachers. Pupil-centered FLT advocates a supporting and individual assessment which is meant to be integral part of the teaching process. The present paper discusses the types of assessment used in pedagogy and FL methodology as well as the diagnostic skills of teachers which is one of the decisive agents in the supporting assessment of performance. The paper also presents results of empirical investigation aiming at the determination of strategies teachers use to handle performance assessment of slow learners in foreign language classes. |
