Description The project learning belongs to methods helping to develop students scientific thinking. This type of learning is understood as solving of complex problematic situations by students group. The main aim of this process is to actively integrate students into the teaching process, while the teacher rather acts as a mentor and assistant. The project learning should mimic the situations that students normally face in their real life. Our contribution is not only focused on the definitions and basis of project learning, but also presents the practical example of its application in the science subjects.
