Description In this paper the results achieved using transformed exponential and Weibull distribution in survival analysis are compared. Traditional exponential and Weibull distributions are transformed using the transformation proposed by us that changes the distributions to be defined on finite interval. Subsequently, this newly acquired distributions are applied to estimate a survival function for patients with oncological diseases. This estimates are then compared with that obtained by exponential and Weibull distributions and the benefits of the new approach are discussed.
