| Description | Innovative educational method is Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE), which has a motivational effect for students and teachers. The physical experiment is a basic instrument IBSE. The main outcome of the research is taxonomy of IBSE experiments. The study presents four types of experiments IBSE, including specific examples of hydromechanics. Principles of implementation IBSE experiments are presented. The taxonomy of IBSE experiments and principles of their implementation into the teaching/learning physics must be inserted into pre-service and in-service physics teachers' training. This task is performed by the European project PROFILES. |
