Innovation of diagnostic methods in special education will be realized by reworked syllabi of topics including addition of multiple study materials, for instance new diagnostic tests, which will be used in practice with the students. The first part of the project will be realized by participation in the below mentioned courses, which are necessary for acquisition of knowledge concerning specific tests and methods and also requirement for the acquisition of the tests. The courses are the following: Assessment of development of pre-school children, Developmental diagnostics of children with multiple disabilities I and II, Assessment of Autism spectrum disorders, developmental dysphasia, Assessment of attention as part of psychological assessment, Use of attention test D2, Assessment of memory as a part of psychological assessment, Use of learning assessment, WISC- III training; Introduction to use of test SON-R 2,5-7; Standard of special education assessment of giftedness in school counseling; Scale of manifested anxiety for children CMAS; Self-evaluation scale of child depression CDI; Assessment of family in school counseling, Use of the family relations test, Thematic – appearance test TAT and its diagnostic methods, Case study seminar for assessment of specific learning difficulties in adolescents and adults. These courses are provided by National institute for education, an organization for further education of educational personnel (www.nuv.cz). The course innovation will focus on adding content according to the methods learned in further education and also other topics (autism assessment, multiple-disability assessment, speech disorder assessment, assessment of giftedness). This will enhance the quality and efficiency of the course for students. Students of the course will benefit from the innovation by receiving more complex understanding of assessment in special education.
