Applicants file and pay for the electronic application to study through the Information System of Masaryk University between 1 January 2024 - 30 April 2024.
Applicants are required to submit a legalized copy of a Bachelor´s degree certificate showing they have obtained an undergraduate degree in English language teaching or in another related study programme in English language, including records of the previous study – a summary of completed courses and marks gained, a list of subjects taken for final exams and grades received.
A legalized copy of documents may be the following:
- notary notified copy,
- verified by superlegalization or apostille (if superlegalization or apostille is necessary, check here),
- notarized translation (if the document is not in English or Czech).
Applicants are further required:
- to submit a Curriculum Vitae in the English language
- to submit a motivation letter in the English language (max. 500 words) in which they explain why they are interested in the study programme they are applying for
- to take part in an online interview in the English language
Applicants must demonstrate that their English-language skills are at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (band 7 or higher in IELTS; score 95 or higher in TOEFL; score 120 or higher Duolingo test) and may submit a certificate proving their English skills.
Applicants who have completed previous studies in an English-speaking country (e. g. Australia, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom), need not submit the Language Certificate. In another cases, applicants must prove their previous study was conducted in the English language by providing a certificate from university stating that the language of instruction was English.
The online interview will be held in May 13, 2024. The online interview will be 10-15 minutes long and will take place on Zoom or Skype (both audio and video are required). The topics will be previous experience with English language learning and teaching and motivation to start a teacher education study programme.
The applicant should submit all the abovementioned documents in Czech or English through the electronic application and send them by post to this address: Pedagogicka fakulta MU, Porici 623/7, 603 00, Brno, Czech Republic. The deadline is 30 April 2024.
Based on the online interview and assessment of the officially certified copies of all abovementioned documents the applicant may or may not be admitted to study. The assessment of the documents is performed by a committee (Admission Board) composed of members appointed by the Dean of the faculty.
