| Popis | J. A. Comenius’s relationship to languages and their teaching was very warm and deep, which is reflected in a large part of his life’s work. To the most important writings in this area certainly belongs ‘Latest method of languages’ (Linguarum methodus novissima). In this publication Comenius creates the first generally recognized theory of language didactics based on observation, experiments and practice, thus pursuing his dream of moving language didactics among other sciences and at the same time providing an understandable “guide” to language teaching. The main purpose of the contribution is to determine how we are now, after more than 400 years, managing to fulfill these dreams of his in selected aspects of the context of the current approach to teaching foreign languages. |
