Visit of the American AAIDD delegation to the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University
We are delighted that two departments from our Faculty are collaborating to host a Delegation of members of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) to host a short seminar to share their research findings on 3 October 2024.
Attached are the brief biographies of the Delegates who will be participating in the Delegation.
The purpose of the AAIDD delegation is to learn:
- How the nation's history, culture, and context have shaped its approach to interventions for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- How services are structured and delivered across the lifespan.
- How people with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in the development of their services.
- What variables contribute to differences in access or availability of services by age or between regions.
