We can recognize a language course if the courses match in terms of language proficiency level, content and assessment methods.

Conditions

Entrance test

You can have language certificates of A2 and above level recognized, as well as the common part of the maturita exam. Enrol in the course and upload the diploma/certificate into to the course's homework vault (see course interactive syllabus in IS)

We can also recognize the entrance test if you have already taken language courses at A2 level or above at the university (make a request through the IS Document office).

Other language courses

You can apply for the recognition of language courses if you:

  • successfully completed the same or equivalent compulsory elective language yourse as a part of your previous or concurrent studies at PdF or another MU faculty (the request is submitted in the IS Document office), alternatively at a different university (you will need attachments for the IS request documenting the output level of language, content and assessment methods)
  • hold a language certificate (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, IELTS, state language exam at B1 level and above and their German, Spanish, French or Russian equivalents). We recognize certificates up to 4 years after completion. In Bachelor studies you can have certificates at level B2 and above recognized, in follow-up master studies at at least C1 level. 

If you have already taken language courses or have a certificate but do not fully meet the conditions stated above, you can ask the teacher for individual completion conditions at the beginning of the semester.
