Citation
Description The authors in their paper bring the answer to the question, whether and how was reflected the issue of the elementary minority education in the Czech pedagogical journals of the First Czechoslovak Republic. They focus on Czech elementary minority education, which has become after the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918 an unprecedented growth compared to the previous regime (especially after publication of so-called Law Metelka), mostly in border areas settled by majority German population. The research sample is based on pedagogical press designed for wider pedagogical community and also on journals designed for the professional and the scientific community (Komenský, Nové školy, Národní učitel, etc.). Data are obtained through content analysis, which is specifically designed for analyzing the content of communication of any kind (Disman, 2005). The obtained data are divided into several groups according to their character. Thus divided data provide clear results of the analysis of journals and relatively detailed answers to the research question.
