Description Student identity is dynamic, multi-sided, and co-constructed in educational interaction, that is, formed by the educational process but influencing it as well. Our research focused on the identities of students of private alternative primary and lower secondary schools. 65 students wrote narratives about an important situation in their school. The students strongly related to their friends, reported positive relations with teachers, the school. They also mentioned experiencing stimulating education and respectful human relationships.
