Description | This paper presents partial findings from a research study conducted as part of the international Belong project, which focuses on the themes of well-being, inclusiveness, and belonging in tertiary education. Given the significant threats to motivation and success in higher education worldwide following the Covid-19 pandemic, exploring these topics is of utmost importance (Stevanović et al., 2021). The study specifically focuses on the results implemented in a faculty that prepares future teachers. In universities, teachers and learners often experience high levels of job stress and burnout, which can have a negative impact on their learning and personal and professional development (Pedler et al., 2022). The faculty under investigation has a diverse student body, and in today's complex world, the topic of well-being is crucial not only for the students but for everyone involved. Therefore, the research aims to answer the following questions: What does it mean to "belong" to a university? What are the aspects of well-being in the university environment? The primary objective of this paper is to identify the challenges faced by tertiary education institutions in these areas and ultimately propose potential solutions. |
