Description | In studies of the interaction of an antidepressant drug fluoxetine with the metabolism of thyroid hormones in the rat, we applied adapted radiometric enzyme assays for iodothyronine sulfotransferases and uridine 5-diphospho-glucuronyltransferase, as well as our newly developed radiometric assays for iodothyronine deiodinases of types 1, 2 and 3, using [I-125]-labeled iodothyronines as substrates. |
