The project is focus on completation of the archive and art- historical research of the selected a typical picture and graphic collections in Bohemia and Moravia between 1650 and 1950. The main aim of the project is to analyze the collecting and art patronage of the aristocratic families in Bohemia and Moravia (e.g. those of Czernin´s, Nostitz´s, Wallenstein´s, Liechtenstein´s, Dietrichstein´s, Thun´s, Kaunitz´s, Blümegen´s, Salm´s) and also comprehend the different types of the bourgeois art collections during the 19th and 20th centuries. In this context the attention will be paid also to the forms and manifestations of art trade and presentations of the results of art collecting in 19th and 20th centuries. The proposed output of the research is a representative publication: "Sibi, arti, amicis".
